Description:
Join master Permaculture teachers Wayne Weiseman, Jose Dib Gomez, and Ricardo Ortiz at Project Tantsajib in this collaboration to realize a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) that will give students the knowledge, not only to design, but also to implement their own projects or assist in others. Learn to design with Permaculture with a team of professionals in a tropical paradise in San Luis Potosí.
During the workshop, the entire curriculum of the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) designed by Bill Mollison will be facilitated, based on the book Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual, covering a different topic each day.
In this course you will acquire an in-depth knowledge of Permaculture design, techniques for living sustainably, and a great understanding of how humans, animals, plants, and minerals interact with the ecosystem. With these tools you will be able to develop an integrated design for any property, step by step.

TANTSAJIB PROJECT
Tantsajib means “place of bamboos” in the Huastec language. This project arose with the initiative of becoming a Permaculture center specialized in the production and use of bamboo. Inside the ranch you will be able to appreciate different species of trees and bamboos that we have cultivated in the last 6 years. Half of the property is a natural reserve, where we are conserving 8 ha of native forest, where you can take walks to learn about the local flora and fauna of this tropical paradise.
The Huasteca is a region that keeps a lot of history and mysticism since it served as a natural and cultural border between Aridoamerica and Mesoamerica.
DESCRIPTION
This course is an international collaboration, bringing together experiences from different climates and places. Our commitment is to share our experiences that we live in day by day, and teach our students well-focused curriculum and implementation techniques that can be used in various situations anywhere in the world.
The techniques for developing a project come from an understanding of ecological design systems to provide sustainable human, animal and plant habitats. Among these we include Permaculture, Biodynamic, Biointensive and Organic Agriculture, Holistic Management, Forest Systems, Transition Towns, among others…
The principles of permaculture have been developed and proven over a long period of time to be beneficial to Natural Systems. Techniques have been carefully thought out to provide students with integrated knowledge for a complete and comprehensive understanding for a healthy lifestyle, and how to accomplish this.

This house is for 2 people and has its own bathroom and shower area.
Inside the camping area we have a kitchen/dining room area and also a bathroom and shower area.
HOW TO GET THERE
• We encourage participants to travel during the day.
• We encourage people to share rides to minimize our carbon footprint; a discussion topic will be organized on Facebook for that purpose.
By CAR: You have to look for the fastest route to Ciudad Valles, S.L.P. Being the most important and closest city to Rancho Tantsajib.
It can be reached through San Luis Potosí, taking Highway 57 towards Matehuala and from there taking the deviation towards Rio Verde-Ciudad Valles. Passing the roundabout, at the first traffic light is Boulevard San Isidro, turn left. Continue straight ahead and once you pass the gas station (PEMEX), the final indications will be communicated at the time of registration.
By BUS: from Mexico City you can take the ETN or Bus line. Both companies offer night shuttle service. Normally with departures between 8 to 10 pm to arrive in Ciudad Valles at 7 / 8 am.
ETN offers a more expensive, but more comfortable service.
